What an AMAZING sandwich I had earlier today at Portillo's in Scottsdale, Arizona. My wife and I had never heard of this chain before, let alone ever having been to one. It came very highly recommended from a good friend of my wife's so we all went there to eat after getting into town a few hours earlier. I hadn't had a meal since the previous day so I was absolutely famished...and the sandwich I had, the Italian Beef with extra gravy, definitely hit the spot and was literally gone in only a couple of minutes. My wife and I also split an order of fries and a large Coke and, while everything was very tasty, the sandwich was what knocked the meal out of the park for me. It was good enough that I went to the counter afterwards to make sure that I told someone how pleased I was with my meal as it was certainly warranted. On top of that, I honestly think that the prices were very reasonable, which makes the whole experience that much better. If one of these restaurants is anywhere near where you're going to be, definitely give some thought to having a meal here...it's well worth your time and money !

As native Chicagoans, we’ve been going to Portillo‘s for many years. When they moved out here several years ago, we were really happy. Although it’s not close to us, we go there a couple times a year. We both love Chicago favorites. Between us, weusually gets the Italian beef dipped or the Chicago dogs. But this time we both had the Italian beef. If I had one quibble, their gardiniera is not very spicy and they charge extra for it. But the quality of the beef and the gravy were still great and their onion rings were above average.

The food was surprisingly good. Got the classic Chicago dog and Italian beef sandwich with chocolate milkshake, chili cheese fries, and an eclair cake. Would get all of it again. Felt a bit like stepping back into time with the decor of the restaurant. Everything was cooked well and tasted great.

Portillo's Wed - 06-12-2024 @ 10:00pm Our cashier, Laura, was exceptional! She was excited, caring, helpful, and such a pleasure as 'the face of the business', with it being our 1st time ever trying Portillo's! Our food came out promptly, and was put together picture-perfect! The lettuce was so vibrant, clean, fresh & super crisp! Other veges were just as great! The crinkle fries were so awesome, that my husband was in awe about them!! (He doesn't like crinkle fries!!!!) With that, a few of his friends are surprisingly, very partial to actually ordering the CHOPPED SALADS, instead of meat! So, we will be trying those! The young gentleman cleaning up, (as were we leaving at closing time), was such a sweet person and very fun to talk with on our way out! The outside patio dining, as well as the whole inside of this location is above being sparkly clean and such a fun atmosphere!!!! We are absolutely wowed by the staff, cleanliness, and of course - the best burgers & chicken we've found!! We will definitely be back!!!!

I’m a fan of Portillo’s. I enjoy the Italian beef sandwiches, brats, Chicago style hot dogs and crinkly fries. The Italian beef I ordered was full and delicious! This location is clean inside and out. Lot’s of parking. Large indoor with lots of tables and chairs. Pretty large outside area to eat (as shaded as much as possible in Scottsdale). The kiosks were simple to use and very effective. Highly recommended if you like this style of food. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped at Portillo's Taste of Chicago, dedicated to bringing Chicago-Style hot dogs, Italian beef, and burgers to the Valley. They have a fun '50s diner-meets-Hard Rock Cafe atmosphere. The staff is friendly and eager to serve. We tried one of their Famous Five: their Chicago-style Italian beef and a large order of onion rings. Everything was great. I'll take a good Italian beef sandwich over a cheesesteak any day, and theirs is beefy and juicy—it's so good. They also serve beer and wine and are perfect for groups with ample seating and multiple locations.

First time visiting and I love the vibe. They play oldies music which I love and a true diner feel. The burgers were great and not greasy.
